Welcome

“The best, longest-lived, most rewarding client relationships are those based on conceptual agreement of what is to be accomplished. The how is subordinated to the end result.” Alan Weiss

Some great words that resonate well with my approach to business as well as life itself.

Greetings and welcome

I am Lindsay Douglas,

For the past 20 years I have been engaging customers in an effort to match their business needs with relevant technology based solutions.

As an independent ICT Acquisition and Vendor Management Specialist I can add tremendous value to your organisation.

How?

I have no particular bias to a particular manufacturer, brand, technology platform, or supplier of products or services. What is important and crucial to gain the maximum value from your technolgy platform is that your technology choices support and enable the achievement of your desired outcomes.

Does it matter how you get from point A to point B? Getting there is the main thing and getting there knowing this was the best way for me to go. I refer you back to the top of this page.

My approach is founded upon the paradigm espoused by Mahan Khalsa of “Helping Clients Succeed”.

By applying a few simple steps we can get the results we want:

  1. I listen - what are the issues, define the problem
  2. I seek to explore and understand your needs
  3. Open sharing of information with all stakeholders
  4. I can bring all relevant people together for open dialogue
  5. Gain agreement
  6. Realistic approach to time, money, and people required

The key here is to eliminate the guessing that is all too often prevalent in IT Customer – Vendor engagements.

My experience spans 20 years of Business Development and Account Management that has led be to understand that working with clients in an open environment where we can share and challenge ideas and cooperatively apply some critical thinking, we can all feel good about the results we get.

What I bring to the table is experience in:

  • Vendor Liaison and Management
  • Technology research and review
  • Competitor analysis and benchmarking  – ensure contestability and fairness
  • Supplier agreements development and review
  • Bid Management and review
  • Business case development
  • Operational systems review
  • Documentation development and review

Effective business development and delivering successful outcomes to clients requires critical thinking and clear, open communication. Pushing innovation and creative thinking to new levels must increase our opportunity to succeed by reducing wasted effort and increasing the probability of a meaningful and relevant outcome.

I look forward to working with you.
